Disneyland Halloween Time

Halloween Disney

Halloween is arguably the best time to bring the whole family out to visit Disneyland. From themed decorations and snacks to spooky new rides and characters, Disneyland knows how to add the thrills and chills to their family fun theme park. Not sure where to start? Here are a few can’t miss attractions and goodies that are extra Spooktacular during Disneyland Halloween Time:

  • The Haunted Mansion Holiday: This long-time favorite transforms into a special holiday edition, featuring a “Nightmare Before Christmas” theme. Don’t miss it!
  • The Giant Pumpkin on Main Street: Grab your camera and pose for a photo with this famous Halloween icon. You’ll be the envy of all your Instagram followers!
  • Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy: If you love the regular Space Mountain ride, you’ll love its transformation into Ghost Galaxy, with plenty of spooky special effects to get you in the Halloween spirit.
  • Halloween and fall themed treats: From caramel apples to popcorn and pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING, you’ll find plenty of treats to fix that fall sweet tooth craving.
  • Halloween Haunts Tour: Tag along with a VIP Disney tour guide to take you through all the Halloween-themed attractions at the park, all based around an interactive story that your kids will love.
  • Disney Villains: While we all love the heroic characters, princes, and princesses from our favorite Disney films, Halloween is the perfect time for some villainous Disney characters to make an appearance. Keep your eyes peeled for such characters as Jafar, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil.

Looking to up your Halloween fun to the next level? Don’t miss the Oogie Boogie Bash – a Disneyland exclusive party, just for Halloween, which features the popular Frightfully Fun Parade, an interactive dance party, and plenty of infamous Disney villains. Tickets are hard to get, so let us help you and your kiddos score passes to this VIP event!

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Clown

Beware: Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart! This intensely spooky Halloween-themed event is sure to make your spine tingle with the many horrors up its sleeve. With terrifying mazes, haunted houses, and scare zones throughout the park, you’re in for many more tricks than treats!

Universal Studios prides itself on being the studio that created the entire genre of Hollywood horror – so it’s not surprise that they take Halloween very seriously! Once you enter the park, you’ll find yourself immersed in a world that mixes the living and the dead (or undead), with scares around every corner. Be prepared to come face to face with plenty of roaming monsters and maniacs, all while enjoying the thrills and chills that the park is best known for. A few mazes and scare zones that are annual crowd favorites include:

  • Walking Dead
  • Stranger Things (don’t miss the Stranger Things themed food as well – like the Upside Down Burger!)
  • Killer Klownz from Outer Space
  • Ghostbusters

Because of the gory content, gruesome monsters, and intense nature of many of the attractions during Horror Nights, this is not necessarily a family-friendly event. In fact, guests under 13 years old are discouraged. While this may be a bummer for some, it helps ensure maximum Halloween horror for the adult crowd!

The Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights are going on NOW through November 3rd. Don’t miss your chance to get in on all the action – whether you’re looking for a night of tricks and treats with friends or wanting a unique date night experience, you can’t go wrong with Universal Studios! Let our experts plan your customized experience to get the most out of one of LA’s biggest and best theme parks.
