The last thing you want to do while exploring the beautiful outdoors is to get lost. Any trip involving hiking, camping, or climbing should include a topographical map and compass at the very least. It's recommended that you also have an altimeter or GPS receiver.
If you're going to be spending a significant amount of time in the sun, choose a sunscreen with a relatively high SPF to protect you from the sun's rays. Don't forget to reapply every two hours and after swimming and bathing.
Be prepared for emergencies with a first aid kit. Your outdoor adventure first aid kid should include band aids, antibiotic ointment, scissors, bandages or tourniquets, hydrogen peroxide, and tape. A sharp pocket knife or multitool is also a handy addition to your pack.
