Amusement Parks & Zoos
Hollywood is home to a long list of amusement parks that are full of heart-pounding fun and wild animal adventure. With our help, you can skip the lines and jump straight to the thrills. In L.A., it’s always the right season for family-friendly fun!
Want to meet a real celebrity? We’re not talking about Brad Pitt – we’re talking about Mickey Mouse! Or maybe Harry Potter is number one on your list. With both Disneyland and Universal Studios located in the city, you can mark these celebrity experiences off your list!
But there’s even more to L.A.’s amusement park scene. Beat the heat with priority access to one of the area’s many water parks, get an adrenaline rush on a wild roller coaster ride, or come face-to-face with a cheery chimpanzee. Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, these parks and zoos are filled with fun for the whole family.
Disneyland
Want to visit the happiest place on Earth? Well, it’s right here in L.A. Aside from the gorgeous weather (which trumps that sticky Orlando heat any day), there are lots of reasons why you should bump Disneyland up on your list of Disney theme parks to visit.
Let’s start with fun for the kids (and kids at heart). Our Disneyland park has all the classic attractions, princesses, and other Disney characters but with a more intimate feel. Disneyland is much smaller than Disney World, making it easily walkable and upping your chances of spending quality one-on-one time with your favorite characters. And even though this park is smaller, it doesn’t skimp on the rides! From Pirates of the Caribbean to Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, there’s something for every kiddo.
But this doesn’t mean that Disneyland is only for little ones. Disneyland offers plenty of amped up fun for adults. Head over to the adjacent California Adventure park for a wild, adult-friendly day. This side of the park serves up alcoholic beverages and more extreme rides, so you can indulge both your more mature side and your inner child. And if you’re a foodie, then Disneyland is worth the trip for all the tasty treats alone. Do Disney calories even count? We say, no way!

Universal Studios

______________
Enter the world of your favorite film at Universal Studios Hollywood – what better place to experience movie magic than in Hollywood? This amazing, one-of-a-kind theme park brings your favorite movies to life, making it a favorite of both locals and tourists alike.
Universal Studios Hollywood is a magnificent theme park and wildly successful movie studio, all rolled into one. With thrilling themed attractions, spectacular live entertainment, and tours of actual movie sets, Universal Studios is guaranteed to bring out the movie buff in all of us. In fact, it’s ranked among the Top Amusement Parks in the world! With plenty of crowd favorite experiences – such as the classic Jurassic Park, the trendy The Walking Dead, or family favorite Despicable Me – there’s something for all ages.
Probably the most famous attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Step into the mysterious world of Hogwarts castle, find the perfect wand at Ollivanders, and come face-to-face with magical creatures. Before you leave, don’t forget to sample a Butterbeer (or two) to wet your whistle.
